If the loot comes from a metal box/container or an enemy you defeated somewhere, the loot is likely RNG-based. The general rule is that if an item is looted off a body of a person you did not defeat yourself, it is a guaranteed Legendary. If you encounter an Epic item in one of these, there is a chance that if you relog, it will spawn Legendary. It is quite common that you would find metal boxes, containers and drawers with random loot while doing Gigs and side jobs. A lot of players have added these in the comments section below. It would defeat the purpose of this guide to have all the RNG spawn locations and items. I added a few of these to the guide and decided not to do it for all possible RNG-related items. I have made a note about these locations below in the guide. Please note that some of the items may not appear as Legendary when you visit the locations. It will give you a great head-start and understanding of the different types of gear, specifically weapons and cyberware, their quality tiers, how they benefit you and increase your combat performance and more! If you are a new player, I suggest you take a look first at my guide on how gear works in Cyberpunk 2077 before using this Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary Gear Locations guide. This Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary gear locations guide will help you find the exact places where you can get the Legendary and Iconic Weapons, Cyberware, Armor and Clothing available from the many weapons vendors, Ripperdocs and as loot! Some of the Legendary and Iconic weapons drop as random loot from bosses or as rewards from missions. If you notice something has changed, please help us and the community by providing details on where you found the item or if a location we described has changed or the item has been removed from there. We are working on updating the parts of this catalog that require an update. The Iconic clothing items are mostly still in their old locations, but the items now have mostly a cosmetic meaning. Clothing has no armor value any more and most of the stats from clothes are gone as well. It’s also possible that CDPR removed the item from this chest or container. If a Tier 5 item from the catalog is not in the described location, there is a chance you are too low level for it to spawn there. It’s still orange-ish and it’s still the highest tier available in the game. The coloring system remains the same, however the Legendary gear tier is now called Tier 5. In the stores you will see items you can actually use. Loot and gear in general are now more strictly related to your current gear and character level. This is especially true for the Iconic Items. The locations of most items remain the same.In it you can read detailed descriptions of each implant along with recommendations and tips where, how and why you should use it and in what builds! We have an in-depth guide and complete catalog to all Cyberware items in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0+ and Phantom Liberty. The catalog contains brand new items only accessible in Dogtown or otherwise related to the expansion. We have published a guide to all new Iconic Item Locations from Phantom Liberty.Important notes regarding the 2.0 Update and how it affects this massive catalog:
